Andy Fu Fang
Andy Fang is an Associate of Global Strategic Associates, LLC. He has 25 years of professional experience in Greater China (including China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore), having held leadership positions in general management, business development, start-up operations, supply chain establishment, and sales and marketing in the automotive and aerospace industries.
Andy began his career in China in 1985, when he joined TRW Inc. During his 15 years with the company, Andy helped built TRW’s presence in Greater China and established eight TRW corporate subsidiaries. During his tenure, Andy agreed five technology cooperation projects (three in automotive), established four automotive ventures, and launched several major aerospace programs. As TRW’s corporate representative and Vice President of China, Andy built relationships with key players in the Chinese automotive and aerospace industries.
After TRW, Andy pursued an equally adventurous career helping set up global satellite interlink operations for data communications and later was involved in setting up two additional automotive component ventures in China.
From 1990 to 1992 and from 1994 to 1998, Andy served eight terms as a Director and Vice Chairman of the American Chambers of Commerce in Beijing and Taipei. Currently, Andy is a consultant on strategic issues including mergers, acquisitions, and new venture development.
An engineering graduate from Tatung University in Taiwan, Andy received his MS/ME from The University of Southern California in 1980, and an EMBA from Rutgers University. Andy resides in Shanghai with his wife Mei, with whom he has two grown children.
